Charity Projects

Over the years I have used my passion for art and painting to raise money and awareness for various charities.  My first project was for the The British Heart Foundation and a collaborative initiative saw the birth of the very first community LoveHug.  I designed a very large LoveHug to be painted at a community event by anyone who made a donation to the charity.  When the canvas was completed, it was then auctioned to raise even more funds and the image was used for merchandising and promotion.

This event was so successful, I have since designed and organised the painting of a further 3 community LoveHug paintings.  One was donated to The Heatherwood Hospital Cardiology Department in Ascot, Berkshire which cheers up the ward immensely and the most recent was for The Eve Appeal, a charity which aims to fight women’s cancers and this painting now hangs in the UCLH Clinical Research Facility of the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

Each year I choose a charity and make a donation payment of £5 for each LoveHug sold during the year and for 2016 I will be supporting and donating to The Eve Appeal.  So when you buy a LoveHug for that special person in your life you are also making a small contribution to a very worthy charity.
